I Have Turned It Over

〔英語笑話〕——  A woman said to her husband , “ Dear , look at our sheet!

                It's too dirty . Would you like to wash it now? ”

                The man looked at the sheet and thought for a while and

                then said ,“ I don't think it's necessary . We can turn

                the sheet over. Is that all right? ”

                “ How lazy you are! ”she shouted,“ To tell you the truth ,

                I turned it over last week .”

〔意譯成詩〕——  夫妻同床棲，床單輪流洗。

                懶夫翻轉用，賢妻先步齊。

　

〔按語〕——  懶夫懶妻天生一對，起居生活大家也懶得伸手去做，

            訂明每星期輪流負責洗換床單一次，到懶夫負責時，他本想把

            床單翻轉就不用去洗了，豈知老婆在上星期早已把床單翻過了。
